【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesascreeningtestmethodforthedeterminationofthedegreeofadsorptionofsubstancesontotheactivatedsludgeorprimarysludgeinawastewatertreatmentplant.TheconditionsdescribedinthisInternationalStandardnormallycorrespondtotheoptimumconditionsfortheadsorptiontooccuratthechosenactivated-sludgeconcentrationandwaterhardnessduringthetestperiod.Themethodappliestosubstancesforwhichananalyticalmethodwithsufficientaccuracyisavailableandwhich,undertheconditionsofthetestandatthetestconcentrationused,a)arewater-soluble;b)or,ifonlyslightlywater-soluble,allowsufficientlystablesuspensions,dispersionsoremulsionstobeprepared;c)arenotsignificantlyremovedfromthetestsolutionduringthetestbyknownabioticprocessessuchasstrippingorfoaming;d)donotdeflocculateactivatedsludge;e)arenotreadilybiodegradable(foradiscussionofbiodegradability,seeISO/TR15462).Animportantparameterthatcaninfluencethereliabilityofthetestresultsisthestabilityofthetestcompoundduringthetest.Ifnoinformationonthestabilityisavailable,itisrecommendedthatthisbecheckedbeforethetest.Ifanytransformation(e.g.duetohydrolysis)isobserved,itisrecommendedthatthedegreeofadsorptionofthetransformationproductsbedetermined,ifpossible.Sincebiodegradabilityofthetestcompoundmayalsoleadtoanincorrectassessmentofthedegreeofadsorption,itisrecommendedthatthebiodegradabilitybeinvestigatedinadvanceusingstandardbiodegradationtestswhicharepreferablybasedonoxygenconsumptionoroncarbondioxideproductionandinwhichadsorptionhasnoinfluenceonthetestresult.Ifbiodegradationcannotbeexcluded,sterilizedsludgemaybeused(seeClause7).Thereisgenerallynoneedtocarryoutadsorptiontestsonsubstanceswhicharereadilybiodegradableastheyaresufficientlyremovedbiologicallyinwastewatertreatmentplants.Substanceswhichareeasilyadsorbedonactivatedsludgeinwastewatertreatmentplantsarepreferablyremovedbyadsorbingtheminsludgedigestersanddegradingthemanaerobically.Forsuchsubstances,highadsorptionmaybeareasonforcarryingoutanaerobicbiodegradationtests.AnoverviewofstandardizedbiodegradationtestsisgiveninISO/TR15462.Thetestcompoundconcentrationsusedinthismethodareusuallyverylowandthereforenonegativeeffectsaretobeexpectedonthecapacityoftheactivatedsludgetoadsorbeventoxictestcompounds.Whenthereisanydoubt,itisrecommendedthatmicroscopicinvestigationsofthefloesandsuitabletoxicitytestssuchasthatspecifiedinISO8192becarriedout.
