【摘要】:TheintentofthisguideistoidentifycharacteristicsthataSPINEDshallpossess.Asopposedtoafullbodyspinalimmobilizationdevice,theSPINEDincorporatesadditionalfeaturesthatassistintheextricationofavictimfromaconfinedspace.ItisnotexpectedthattheSPINEDwillbeusedalonetoprovidetheentirescopeofrequiredimmobilization.Clinicalsituationsmayrequiredifferingcombinationsofdevicesforadequatetotalspinalimmobilization.ASPINEdevicemaybeoneofthedevices.Adeviceintendedforusewithadultpatientsshallaccommodatethe95thpercentileadultAmericanmale.Devicesthatarelabeledasintendedforpediatricuseshallnotberequiredtoaccommodateadultpatients.Thedeviceshallbeabletobeusedbythepractitionerinanergonomicallysoundmanner.1.1Thisguidecoversminimumstandardsfordevices,designatedhereasspinalimmobilizationandextricationdevice(s)(SPINED),commonlyreferredtoasshortspineboard.TheSPINEDisdesignedtobeusedastheplatformforimmobilizationandextricationofapatientwithpotentialspineorspinalcordinjurybyemergencymedicalservicepersonnel.1.2ThisguidedoesnotidentifyspecificdegreesoflimitationofmotionachievedbyplacementofaSPINEDonapatient.Definitiverequirementsforimmobilizationofthespine,and,inparticular,thedegreeoflimitationassociatedwiththeuseofaSPINED,havenotbeenestablishedinthemedicalliterature.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Thistestmethodmaybeusedtodeterminetheabilityofabuttontoresistbreakingunderimpact,forexampleinpressingtheenditem,whichcouldcausethebuttontofail.Note18212;Inthedevelopmentofthistestmethoditwasfoundthatthefollowingfactorsinfluencedtheabilityofabuttontoresistfailureunderimpactconditions:resinformulation,shapelignesize,thickness,numberandspacingofholes.Buttonsmayalsopassthistestbutfailduringthepressingofagarmentduetothepresenceofheatduringpressing.5.1.1Iftherearedifferencesofpracticalsignificancebetweenthereportedtestresultsfortwolaboratories(ormore),comparativetestsshouldbeperformedtodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweenthem,usingcompetentstatisticalassistance.Asaminimum,testsamplesshouldbeusedthatareashomogeneousaspossible,thataredrawnfromthematerialfromwhichthedisparaterestresultswereobtained,andthatarerandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.Othermaterialswithestablishedtestvaluesmaybeusedforthispurpose.Thetestresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingastatisticaltestforunpaireddata,ataprobabilitylevelchosenpriortothetestingseries.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrected,orfuturetestresultsmustbeadjustedinconsiderationoftheknownbias.TestMethodD5171forthedeterminationoftheimpactresistanceofbuttonsmaybeusedforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsofbuttonsbutcautionisadvisablesinceinformationislackingonprecision.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofimpactresistanceofplasticsew-throughflangebuttons.1.2Thevaluesstatedineitheracceptablemetricunitsorotherunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesexpressedineachsystemmayormaynotbeexactequivalents:therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
