【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiestestmethodsandminimumrequirementsforprotectiveclothingtobewornduringfirefightingandassociatedactivitieswherethereisariskofheatand/orflame.ThisInternationalStandardcoversthegeneralclothingdesign,theminimumperformancelevelsofthematerialsused,andthemethodsoftestfordeterminingtheseperformancelevels.Clauses4and5definetwoseparatesetsofdesignandperformancerequirements.ThisInternationalStandarddoesnotcoverspecialclothingforuseinotherhighrisksituationssuchasspecializedfirefighting,orclothingforuseinlongtermfirefightingoperationsinhighambienttemperature,forexamplebrush,wildland,orforestfirefighting.Itdoesnotcoverprotectionforthehead,handsandfeetorprotectionagainstotherhazards,forexamplechemical,biological,radiationandelectricalhazards.Theseaspectsmaybedealtwithinotherstandards.Selectionoftheappropriatesystemofclothingisdependentoncarryingoutaneffectiveriskassessmentwhichidentifiesthehazardstobefaced,evaluatesthelikelihoodofthosehazards,andprovidesthemeanstoreduceoreliminatethesehazards.DetailsononeexampleatarecommendedriskassessmentapproachandsomefactorsforconsiderationareincludedinannexF.NOTEAdditionalpersonalprotectiveequipmenttoprotectthehead,hands,andfeetshouldbewornwithclothingspecifiedinthisInternationalStandardandinmajorityofsituationsbreathingapparatusisalsorequiredtobeworn.FirefightersshouldbetrainedintheuseandcareofprotectiveclothingcoveredbythisInternationalStandardincludinganunderstandingofitslimitationsandoftheotheritemsofpersonalprotectiveequipmentthatmayberequireddependingontherisksencountered.
